This webinar, organized in partnership with the People Living with HIV Stigma Index, aims to explore the impact of internalized stigma on people living with HIV. Internalized stigma prevents people from accessing essential services and reduces adherence to treatment, especially among key populations. The session will explore programmes that have adopted successful strategies to reduce the negative impact of internalized stigma and develop self-worth. Panellists will also discuss the importance of stakeholders in the HIV response using respectful language to support the dignity and agency of people living with HIV.
