Opioid-related overdose deaths are an going public health crisis in the United States, and a large majority of individuals with opioid use disorder do not receive first-line treatment with medications. Interventions that overcome barriers and link people to evidence-based treatments are a critical component of addressing the opioid crisis. In this study, a mobile engagement unit was evaluated to see if this intervention would improve treatment utilization among a hard-to-reach population. (Recovera Research Institute, USA, Januar 2022)
